Support a UAN Program

If one of our programs strikes a chord with you, you can designate a gift to directly support that effort. Read the descriptions of our programs below, or explore the Web site for even more information before designating your gift.

Emergency Animal Rescue Service (EARS)
Neither hurricane, wildfire, tornado, flood nor earthquake can stop our trained volunteers from saving animal lives when a crisis overwhelms a community. Our network of EARS volunteers shelters and cares for animals displaced by natural disasters and other crises, such as criminal seizures and hoarding cases, in the United States and Canada.

Humane Education Ambassador Reader (HEAR) Program
UAN's Humane Education Ambassador Reader (HEAR) Program helps children explore the human-animal bond through stories and discussion. HEAR volunteers visit elementary school classrooms, after-school programs, libraries, bookstores, animal shelters and other venues to read to children and lead discussions -- helping children develop critical thinking skills and empathy.

My Dog is Cool Campaign

UAN educates people about the dangers of leaving dogs in hot cars and conducts an educational outreach campaign every year to prevent dogs from dying when their owners leave the locked in the car while they shop or do other errands. Your support can help us pay for educational materials and find other innovative ways to spread the word that it is not cool to leave a dog in a hot car.
